Teacher
San Rafael, CA 94903,USA
Cheryl has been teaching for 13 years, mostly high school with a few years of 6th grade and one of 7th grade at the end. She is a PBS Digital Innovator, as well as a Google Certified Innovator. With her cross-country collaborative partner, Andrew Thomasson, she has been exploring flipped learning, student-centred education, inquiry, and project-based learning. Together they have taught about 20 different classes, and over 1500 students in their collaborative flipped classrooms, and are always experimenting trying to find the best way to reach students and help other teachers take the plunge into the flipped classroom. They moderate the #flipclass chat on Twitter, and present at national and international conferences. They have also written a book (Flipping 2.0) and have been mentioned or featured in half a dozen more. Most of all, they love learning and connecting with other teachers.

In the six years since she started flipping, not one single student (out of the almost 900 she's had) has failed her class.
